CSS: Cascading Style Sheets

“Alright, Violin, HPM, and whoever else....

I am fiddling with learning CSS.

If I have a style sheet as follows:
body { bgcolor:blue; text:white }

...and a vanilla [body] tag in my page, why doesn't my background turn blue?

What is the correct way to specify a background color in a style sheet?”

“body {background-color: #ffffff;}
Just make the < body > tag just like that.”

Wonder why the keyword is "background-color" vs. "bgcolor" as in the body tag itself....

Now, how about the text color? Apparently it is not "text:white"...”

Linked is much more versatile. Embedded CSS is mostly a waste of time IMO.”

It took me all of about 15 seconds into my CSS education to see that embedded was a waste of time.

I have four pages set up for my trip report/photos from ONF, and I have all the styles now coming from a single style sheet. COOL stuff!!!”
