How do you dispose of gas cannisters?

“How are you supposed to dispose of those little Coleman green-gas canisters when they are done? I'm sure your not supposed to just toss them in the trash, but I'm starting to accumulate them.”

“Just chuck 'em out in da woods, te green color will help them blend into the scenery. If y'all want to go to the trouble youins could bury 'em.”

“eat enormous amount of chilli, then later that day, shove the end cap up your butt and refill them with nasty farts and then reuse...LOL”

“just toss them in with the other trash.”

“aren't you supposed to poke a hole in them or something before you throw them out?”

“nope....tossem down your neighbors chimney....hear it go BOOM (hates her neighbors :P)”

“i bought a coleman xponent lantern and it came w this little tool to poke a hole in the canister when it's gone. it doesn't use the green ones though. they're probly too thick.”

“Can't you throw them in the recycling bin? I had a buddy get a few of them in a bon fire by mistake and the thing went about 100' in the air and splashed down 3' from his truck. Good one!”

“Throw them in a dumpster behind the nearest grocery or convenience store”

“As long as they're empty you can just toss 'em. Just make sure there is no pressure left in them. Try pushing in the ball valve with some wire or a pencil.”
