“NEW YORK (AP) -- Penthouse magazine apologized Tuesday for misidentifying topless pictures of the daughter-in-law of fashion designer Luciano Benetton as those of tennis player Anna Kournikova.

"We deeply regret this unintentional error and offer our heartfelt apologies to both women," the magazine said in a statement.

The statement was released a day after Judith Soltesz-Benetton sued Penthouse, seeking a minimum of $10 million in damages. Her attorney, Judd Burstein, claimed the magazine knew about the mistake weeks ago, but published the photos anyway.

The apology "is a month late and $10 million short," Burstein said.

In response to the suit, U.S. District Judge Denny Chin ordered the magazine to temporarily stop distributing the June issue to newsstands and blocked it from putting pictures on a Web site.”

“TYLER, Texas (AP) -- A Texas housewife on trial for bashing her three sons with rocks, killing two, is a textbook example of insanity as defined by state law, a psychiatrist testified Friday.

Psychiatrist William Reid said he could use the case of Deanna Laney, who said God told her to kill her children last Mother's Day weekend, to teach students about Texas' definition of insanity.

Laney has pleaded innocent by reason of insanity to charges of murdering 8-year-old Joshua and 6-year-old Luke and severely beating Aaron, then 14 months old. Prosecutors are not seeking the death penalty.

On Thursday, Laney's older sister said Laney was eating less, losing weight and reading the Bible more in the weeks before admitted killing her two older sons and severely injuring her toddler.

“(CNN) -- A jury acquitted a Texas mother of killing two of her sons and seriously injuring the third after determining she was insane at the time.

As the verdicts were read, Deanna Laney's face quivered, but the 39-year-old shed no tears.

Laney would have received an automatic life sentence had she been convicted of capital murder.

Instead, she will immediately be taken for evaluation to a maximum security state psychiatric hospital, where she could stay as long as 40 years.

Laney admitted bashing her three children in the heads with rocks. She said God told her to do so.
