TownDawg - Thanks for posting some of your stories in the Articles section. My favorite is 'Fiery Gizzard' probably because I can easily see myself making some similar decisions.

For you newer folks out there who want to read more first hand TT stories you can check out more of TownDawg's work at his website .

TownDawg - I got a real good chuckle from this line, "The immediate sense of knowing that your car just got a lot farther away." in your article, "Fiery Gizzard."

Big Coop - Thanks for your references to TownDawg's site and the article.

TownDawg -

"The immediate sense of knowing that your car just got a lot farther away."

I have had the feeling. I was practicing alone in a local park on the Disk Golf Course. On the fareway of the 10th hole I made one of the best throws of my life.

But my good, right foot caught in the sod as I twisted in a follow-through. I experienced severe pain and a ruined knee. I could not walk, just a little, painful hobble. I did not know whether to head directly for the car or to try to retrieve the Disk. It appeared that I would have to pull myself in a crawl of sorts. Fortunately, some friends came along, saw my dilemma, and came to my aid.

The result was $850 in bills from the hospital emergency room, three weeks off my feet and a knee that the the orthopedic surgeon wants to replace along with the other one.
