My wife found out about a recent order on some Gear I ordered. SO she gets on line and uses my Dividend on woman junk. I now only have 80 bucks. Thats what i get for buying that dang tent from basegear.com

i need to chand my trail name so she cannot get on the forums to check me out. She found out I bought several items and she is mad at me. She spent over 400 bucks at REI and I was gonna buy myself some clothing for an upcomming alaska trip this summer. All i can do now is just go set with my 2 dogs and pout. I wasn't even aware she was doing this.

Serves ya right Fridgie. ;P

I have no idea how much our dividend is this year, but it should be pretty good.

An Alaska trip? When? And why exactly was this not posted publicly on the trips page? You tryin' to exclude others from trips? Damn backpackin' snob!

LOL!

my company lets me use my personal credit card for my expenses. i travel a lot so purchase airfare, hotels, etc on my personal credit card. then i get reimbursed every month and pay off the card. that plus i pay every bill with it. also, i bought three mtn bikes for my kids this year... but in the statement for the rei credit card it tells me my balance for rei purchases and that for non-rei purchases and most of what i get back is for non-rei purchases.

Mine came to a whopping $7.60. I obviously didn't do my share of shopping last year. I think I already have that beat for next year.

Coupling up the dividend with the spring sale will bring the most bang for the buck.

That would be a great six pack. We'd have to figure out the geographic spot half way between our homes, so we could sit and drink it, lol.

novara bikes are good. A friend of mine was a the head bike mechanic at our local REI and spoke highly of them. I debated having my bike built or buying a novara, I opted for the build. It was too cheap to pass up.

Yogisan - How much of that is from REI purchases and how much from the CC? Or can you tell?
ChinMusic

it says on my card statement. most of it is from the card. i get to put all my company expenses on it (airfare, hotels, etc) so i have a big bill every month that gets paid off in full when i get reimbursed. that card is a GREAT deal. i did buy a lot of stuff last year. the big thing was new bikes for the kids. i am sure i nickle and dimed myself to death on cams, stoppers, and other climbing gear as well.

I got my first ever REI dividend check. I hit the clearance section and picked up two pairs of Sahara Shorts, a pair of Sahara Convertible Pants, 3 shirt sleeve Sahara shirts and a long sleeve Sahara as well as a Fleece Jacket since I did not have one before.

Total I paid with Tax and Shipping: $9.38

I felt like a shopping genius.

Used the dividend and the 20% off deal to buy a NF Snowshoe 0+ bag. Ended up costing me $8 bucks.

Great gear score!
