Anyone have any bad weather experiences while hiking the Wonderland Trail in September.

Its the trail that runs around the base of Mt Rainier.

Did a dayhike loop that takes you up out of Paradise Lodge area and towards the peak. Get this,,,, it was paved and I had unbelievable weather to boot. Breath taking views!!!!! It's like one giant zit waiting to explode.

Those dates could be prime fire season!!! Something to think about. The west just seems to be getting smokier every summer that goes by. Some gov. sites might have forcasts for areas that are suspect. We can't predict the fires but we know what areas are more prone to burn. Spring thaw will tell ya how the summer is gonna be.
