“Well of course.. the stories are not believable in the sense that we would never expect such events to actually happen. The fun part though, is that although the 'speculations' were certainly farce, the discussions and events DID happen.

Backpacker.com is not a 'discussion' thread website however. It is obviously an 'announcement' thread website. The good news is judging from a few comments made here and elsewhere -- is that we have taken a few minutes and THOUGHT about who we might be in the woods with.
