“Wow this was a great trip!!!Tons of water in the creeks and the waterfalls were kick as#!!!!We had a good turnout we had 4.The weather was ok but it rained Sunday in the am then it stoped.We did about 10.5 miles of the Shirley Creek Trail in Hoosier National Forest.I took some great pictures and they are now up on the clubs website so go check them out and let me know what ya think.

That looks just like where I hunt except the trees are bigger here. I hunt in the Bluff Springs aera just outta Minerals Springs and you guessed it, we have lots of springs coming outta the ground like that too,... I liked the green moss covered rocks and tree shots and those rocky cut back banks.

It looked for all the world like where we hunt!LOL

“Whats going on TT'ers?Well my club had a good turnout this weekend we had 4.I also got my oldest club member he is 67 years old and last year did 200 miles on the AT!Way cool!!!!The weather was great no rain on Sat and a little wind but that is no problem!We had a good time on Sat night sitting around the campfire telling tales and jokeing around!Sun was overcast and was a nice moring with lots of birds singing I always love that.All and all it was a very good trip.

“Hello TT'ers whats going on?I hope everyone had a great weekend.Well Me and my club went backpacking in Manistee National Forest and it was a blast.Saturday the weather was great it was sunny and the temps were in the 40's.Saturday night there was not a cloud in the sky and the stars were putting on a great show.But when Sunday came it was a whole diffrent story.We woke up to 2 to 4 inches of snow on the ground and the wind was blowing real good it was a winter playground!!!!!It was so cool the snow flakes were as big a half dollars man it ROCKED!!!!!!I took lots of great pictures and they are on the clubs website.Here is the link.

“Hey whats going on TT'ers?This weekends trip was great the club had a turnout of 4.There were tons of creek crossings and there were lots of signs of spring.There were lots of nice flowers comming up all over the place.I caught 2 baby snakes and they were neat and they were nice becuase they did not bit me.It was also nice to see lots of water flowing in all the creeks.I have the new pictures up on the clubs website so go check them out.

I hiked at YELLOW RIVER STATE FOREST yesterday. Maybe 4 miles. Checked one backpacking camp and ran into a couple gals there. Really made me want to get out the gear...... oh yeah, but I need a couple things yet!

Cool news, they have new maps of backpacking trails that they printed on a color printer. Very simple, but lots easier to see what is where. Ya want one? I could send to you.

Do you have routes in mind for that Memorial Day trip? (which I hope to be on)

Here's a photo. OK, this was on a photo forum and I was making fun of the landscape. ONLY BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE THAT RUN IT ARE FOOLS!! Having an assignment to be landscapes at during the most butt-ugly time of the year is kinda dorky. Mind ya, I still like it out and love finding the hepatica flowers just coming up, but still.

Also, I have some other shots from YRSF on the geocaching site, cuz there's a geocache up near the fire tower. HEY, YOU GUYS COULD ALL FIND IT!! hehehee

“Whats up TT'ers?Wow the clubs trip was a blast.The club had a turnout of 2.It was me and SB and we had a blast.Man this place was so much fun.Deadmans hill was way cool.I loved the marsh it was neat the beavers mad a dam by the marsh and it blocked up the a small pond and the water came up to the foot bridge it was kind of cool.The weather was great.I caught a snake that had just eaten and he was very cool to play with.We had a start lit night with a half moon in the sky.It was very neat to see all the creeks in the JR area.It sometimes seemed like the water was just comming right out of the ground.The new pictures are up from this weekends trip.

“Hey tt'ers whats going on?Wow the club had a turnout of 3.The weekend was a wet one but well worth it.We did about 10 miles of backpacking.We did some beach hiking and did lots of exploring!The rain was no big deal we found some great dune areas.The landscapes were just great and had lots of cool eye candy.I have the new pictures up so go check them out.
