Cool pics Mike. Is the Hoosier National Forest down in southern Indiana. Have you ever been up to the state park (forgotten its name)in northern Indiana near Angola, In. that has the toboggan track. That is way cool but it sure is a rough landing. Heard about one person that broke there tail bone when the sled landed..ouch.

NWIHBC TRIP REPORT FOR 3-2 TO 3-3.
Whats going on TT'ers?Well the clubs turnout for this weekend was 3 not bad.The weather was not that good though.Sat me and Prowler set out of the Grubb Ridge Loop to hook up with 2scoops.From there me and Prowler explored patton cave he had a blast in there. After that we had gone about 2 miles on the Grubb Ridge Loop and set up camp.As soon as we got camp set up it started to rain.So we all turned in early. On Sunday when we got up it was snowing and that was cool and the Temps had dropped into the teens so it was kind of cold. After we broke down camp we all took off for the last 6.5 miles left of the trail.Me and Prowler had put it in our minds to Trek the last 5 or 6 miles of the trail so we got done quite fast.2scoops keep up too which I was very proud of him.I have new pictures up so if you would like to check them out here is the link.

Crazy Mike, as a semi-retired photojournalist, I always like to see the pics of hikers on the trail, or of campsites. Gives a better perception of what the bping conditions in the area are. Pretty scenics are nice, too, but often don't tell the "story" of the trip. So keep up with the people pics.

I still kick myself that I forgot to use my micro tripod to get a pic of myself on the trail or in camp when solo out in ND. My campsite pic loses some scale with only the tent and pack in the view.

All I can say is wow!!!!!
Wow what a weekend!Me SB,Towndawg, and Prowler did 22.5 miles of the Knobstone trail and it was a blast! We started Sat at the Delaney Park Trailhead and gone south to mile marker 33 and thats where we spent the night.Well Towndawg likes to go at his own pace so me and Prowler go on a deathmarch for about 2 hours and get some miles pumped up.So SB gets caught up to us and we make camp.Well TD does not show up for some time.We wait and wait and well ya know so it's dark by now and shure enough he shows up about 2 hours after we did and I was very happy to see him....8)We got a camp fire going and he made some trail food that was the BOMB!!!!TD can cook!!!!!We told storys and we had a blast around the camp fire. This was one of the best trips this year so far.I have the new pictures up here is the link.

and out of the darkness . . .
who was it that would appear?
twas Town Doggy of course,
totin’ his backpacking gear.

The KT KICKS ASS! Welcome to the Indiana flatlands. lol! Mixed in with some rain to fill the normally dry creek beds made for a really great time to tackle all those knobs.

Always great to meet new TT'rs . . . "Crazy Town Dawg" and "Crazy Prowler".

Don't know just what all those ingredients were in TD's cajun cookin' . . . but it sure was good! And big thanks to TD for convincing/ordering the Prowler to join in on the fun. BTW TD, be careful with those "behind the scenes" stories. I'm sure we all remember one "scene from behind" that was . . . well, shall we say, not pretty! *very big grin*

thanks for the great time to all . . . can't wait for the KT, Part II.
