I was wondering how many Bond fans we have on this board? I love the old James Bond flicks. It is so cool that they have been showing them on Sat. nights on ABC or NBC or one of those channels. Sean Connery is so damn cool.

Big fan here! Classis flicks and books.

My favorite Bond flick is "From Russia With Love." It had an aire of realism to it. My wife got me a DVD for Christmas about all the Bond movies and Bond characters. It is cool. It addressed the male chauvanism also...which apparently is one of the things that made Bond so popular.

My favorite Bond is Sean Connery, of course. I like the others OK.

I've never seen a girl that really digs James Bond flicks. Why you, NG?

She's not alone
I love JB!!! I have some James Bond hardcover books that I got when I was a teen that I read (yet again) in between flicks. Sean Connery is definitely the best JB ever.

My favorite Bonds are Conery, Pierce Brosland, More, in that order.

Jame was suposed to be a scottish guy, so Sean Conery is the man, but Pierce is got that Swave and all pimped out look about him.

Don't know, Walkin!? I just think they are cool. I mean they ski around shooting people, they have these cool underwater swimming engine thingies, he meets women that are not only beautiful and usually intelligent, but they have hilarious names (i.e. #&%!$ Galore). He looks good in wet suits, regular suits, swim trunks, street clothes. He has an accent. He drinks freakin' Martinis like they're goin' out of style and still keeps his head about him. One Martini and I'm done. He's a total chauvinist, but if I was his woman, I'd put up with it. I mean, you never know when you'll be in the middle of sit. that requires a sauve Scottish man to rescue you from a crazed Russian, right?! He's just cool. I could watch old James Bond films all day.

I may be strange, but I also think the old Star Trek episodes are totally cool. I like the ultra-cool, slightly cheesy side of these films. The way over the top technology they have at their fingertips. The unbelievable sits. they get out of in the nick of time. James Bond and Captain Kirk are just the absolute edge of human capability for coolness.

I like the old Star Trek shows much better than the new ones. Kirk is da man. Picard is dull.

I dig 007

You only live twice and Live and let die are my favorites.

Old Trek is cool too. Too much PC political claptrap in the new stuff.

I'm w/ ya' on that Walkin! Picard is very dull. So, what is your favorite Bond film? Phil has his vote on "From Russia With Love."

Obviously by my picks Sean Connery IS Bond.

It might be a too obvious pick, but I have to go w/ Goldfinger. Like Human said, Connery is Bond. You also have Pu$$y Galore in this film and the weirdo henchman, Oddjob. I mean come on, how cool is James to defeat a Korean w/ a slicing bowler style hat. The thing cuts peoples heads off, but James handles it.

Thanks Fritz. I'm trying to get the facts out there, though. We need to help more people realize why Bond rocks the world.

Thunderball is the one they showed this Sat. It's okay. I liked the underwater personal swimmer thingies and James in a wet-suit, but the underwater fighting scenes kinda' got boring.

Here's to Hair!
At least he has chest hair. What's with all these guys shaving their chests these days like some woosy Calvin Kline model? Let's hear it for a little gratuitous body hair!

I watched it.

Sean Connery is one of my favorite actors.

Anyone see the "Celebrity Jeopardy" spoofs on Saturday Night Live where the impersonate Sean Connery? They are a riot.

Marvin Gardens would make the best James Bond of them all. He has super human strenght from drinking his own urine, and chicks just dig those foil hats.

Favorite Bond Lines
one of my favorite exchanges:

Girl: "Hi, I'm Plenty!"
Bond (raising eyebrow): "Hmmm, yes I see that! Do you have a last name?"
Girl: "O'toole, Plenty O'toole."
Bond: " Ahh, named after your father!"
