Saturday, Jenny starts basketball, she and I have a mother/daughter pottery class AND we have a birthday party to go to. Wheeew! It will take all of Sunday just to rest and catch up on laundry!

“YEA Sunshine! We'll have to plan on something closer to your neck of the woods soon. We have a four day weekend Memorial Day and had talked about going back up to Wakely Lake in Grayling but...That's not alot of hiking for four days. Maybe Hoist Lakes? Anyone?”

“Birch/Sass, thanks for the offer of a ride, but I can't leave work until 4:30 at the earliest because of a stupid staff meeting. Looks like you're planning to be setting up camp by that time. If Tara doesn't have room, I can drive myself, its not all that far.”

Smiley and I will be leaving when she gets home. She has assured me that she will be packed and ready to go when I get to her place.

“In the past, my wife and I have gathered with some of our friends in Kent City on the westside of the state. I'd be up for disscussing putting something together. We probabley won't be going this year to Kent City....”

“Fourth of July weekend Birch, Abby and I will be going to N Manitou Island to base camp at the main campground and wander and play all day. Wish us luck avoiding all the poison ivy that abounds there. =) It's our 6th wedding anniversary that weekend.

“Everyone - Reading this thread gets me a little sad. I'd really rather be out hiking with you guy this weekend. It's been a while and I'm just going through trail with drawls. This Spring/Summer, we should plan a couple of trips for all to gather. Like Sass, I'd like to get up Sunshine way and also over AdventureGirl way.

“Well Laqtis, we'll get it worked out. After the walk is over, I plan to make a lot of time for hiking. Then once fall comes, I'll be going back to school.

I was asking about the 4th because I got an e-mail today about camping with some other friends. Just wondered if I'd be missing out on seeing someting completely new to me, and it sounds like I will (N. Manitou) if I decide to go with them.

I'll be sitting on the fence if anyone needs me. :)”

“So last night I was ready to make you guys brownies and bannana bread. I was ready to crack the eggs into the bowl, when I realized my eggs expired December 4th. Apparently I don't eat too many eggs.

Luckily for you, my neighbor loaned me enough eggs to get both things baked. We'll be eating good this weekend!”

“YUM! I made maple pecan bars too. They're awfully good for breakfast. And I've got apples and blueberries dehydrated for Tara's cobbler, just have to put it together today.”

“I've got 4 large links of Polish sausage and 4 large links of Italian sausage.... Both homemade by my dad. Those can be had for dinner tonight w/ Joe's venison roast.

AND I have 8 breakfast sausage patties... also made by dad.

“now is probably a good time to anounce my summer plans. I will be working at a camp near Cadilac, so most of the time I will be pretty busy, but maybe I will be able to sneak away for a weekend or two. But I really dont know. As of right now I am the only female hired on as head staff, so that makes things complicated, as I often will have to stay there.

I wish I could play with you all this weekend, but I have a raod trip to acomplish. Were going to be doing alot of hiking as its in Kentucky. So that should be cool. I will miss you all. i think Im going to try really hard to get of the 4th and maybe you could all meet my dad.:)”
