You can get a topo of the whole HNF that is the best thing to get.

I like backpacking in Charles Deam Wilderness.

The Knobstone Trail is in Clark State Forest and Jackson-Washingtion state forest it is 58 miles long.

No problem.

In fact, genetic studies using mitochondria DNA indicate a single ancestor for all of Isle Royals' wolves. Scientists tested almost 250 wolves from the Ontario mainland before finding the genotype in an animal taken by a trapper 50 miles north of Lake Superior, Dr. Peterson reported. DNA fingerprinting showed the wolves to be highly inbred, comparable to members of a single family. Further analysis revealed that wolves on Isle Royale had lost roughly 50 percent of the genetic variability of mainland wolves. Isle Royale, he said, would provide an acid test for the notion that inbred populations are not viable.

heres what they were saying about inbread wolves on Isle Royal.

The tester program is great
We're also testing a Mystique 2 tent from Alps through their gear tester program right now. As Mike found out, its really easy to get in the program, just go to their website and use the link for "pro tester" and give them some info about yourself and then they get back with you in a day or so if they have any gear needing tested. You get the gear initially for 60% off, then when you submit the two evaluations, with photos, they give you an additional 20% refund, so you end up getting the product for 80% off. I think the tent we got is ending up costing $28.00 instead of the $139.00 list price (which is also what the new campmor catalog has the tent price listed as). Hope this helps.

Yo mike - boots arrived today. Didn't make it yesterday 'cause UPS didn't feel like driving up here into the sleet. They fit pretty nice over my winter socks, so I think they'll do just fine, if not for bping, then for my trail maintenance. Means I can stop using my forest fire boots for trail maintenance and get everything back where it belongs. Didja get the money okay? Thanks again. You da man!
