Banff Mountain Film Festival

“Anybody see the Banff film festival yet this year? This will be the fourth year I will be going to it. I look forward to it every year.”

“Our cross country team is hosting it in May here in Billings. An outdoor shop, The BaseCamp, is sponsoring it. The owner was looking for a bigger theatre because he heard it was getting rave reviews.

So, for any local TT'ers (uh, that'd be Chief, Newgirl and me) it's May 3 at 6:00pm MSU-B Library. Last year's was great and this year it sounds even better!”

In Pennsylvania, the closest event for us is March 9th (Sunday) in Emmaus, PA.”

“Well, I saw it. I could only get one ticket for the 9.30 am showing in Montreal. I have always regretted missing it and now I know why. It was fantastic! Apparently each 'Best of' is different - the people hosting it choose the films. The real thing must be something else.”

“Banff is coming you your town soon (at least it is coming to my town!). Look for the link at the begining of this thread. It is a fabulous show (or at least the ones I have been to so far have been great).”

“The guy that puts on the show here told me that there are dozens of films and they can chose which ones they want to show locally. Last year's was great but I haven't heard when, or if, it'll be in Billings this year.”

“lol....that guy was crazy. I think that was my favorite one. I wish it would have been longer.”

“I really enjoyed the expedition with the cannibal encounter...I mean, these people had never seen white men before and their reaction was so pure. I also was diggin' it when they ran out of food and relied on the porters to hunt for them...mmmmmm, those steamed prawns looked nummy, but I'll pass on the roasted rat on a stick, thank you. They even ate the rat feet! You could hear it crunch and they must have chewed them for an hour before they would actually go down.
