Anyone been to Trails.com lately? They won't let you see trail descriptions anymore because now you have to pay $19.95 for a one year membership. They probably won't be in business much longer because that seems like a last ditch attempt to make some money.

Mike,
I know it may not be as detailed or as flashy as Trails.com, but the Trails Database on this site has 600 reviews in it, and still growing.

If we all get off our collective bahonies and write a bit we could make the trails section on this site even better. I have not checked it out in awhile so I am going to do that right now and see if I have something to contribute--you do it too--OK?? :)

Check out this mountain bike trail site:

Some good trails from a different perspective.

The info is out there somewhere...
Every trail of any significance can be found on the internet -
so I've determined.

Between NPS, NFS, BLM, SP, etc, websites I've been able to get ample info prior to any and every hike I've done.

Usually finding a Visitors Center, NFS office, or whatever, is all I need to do - I can get remaining info from them...

I've even stopped at country stores for maps and local info.

I have found a lot of good info on GORP.com. But I can't resist a trail guide book.
