Here ya go Muttley.

Knobstone Info

They make a GREAT map with discriptions and everything. The trail can be absolutely cruel in spots but it's so prety you don't notice too much. Water is the biggest problem. This area is bone dry in the drier months but there are enough road crossings you can stash water here and there. Crazy Mike has done a lot of hiking around the Deam Lake area. Maybe he will chime in.

Go with 2 people.Or have friend drive down there with you so you can drop your car at the end and then they take you back to the starting trailhead you give them a $20 and say thanx and there you go.

Thanks !!
thanks to nigal & crazy mike the links you sent me too was just what I needed. also thanks on the water info. I need lots of water when I hike, I'll do some legwork and make some plans for this spring/summer/fall hikes. I would love to hike it in its entirety but I work 5 1/2 days a week get off sat @ 1:00 so short weekends, so I will do it in sections, and my vacation time I've got planed to section hike more of the AT this year, but I have learned that anything can change at any given time ! and I just may say screw work I'm hiking!@!!
