Well fellers, I went down to the local Sports Authority the other day. I bought a Coleman Inyo and a Coleman Oryx. They were on sale, so I got the two of them for around $140. I will use the inyo when I want to go very light and the oryx when a friend goes or there is a need for extra room as when the weather looks like like a lot of tent time will be involved. No more indoor pools.

Sounds great! What's your email. I was in Sipsey again and have some pictures to email. The creek that we got drenched in is now dammed up. A tree fell on the trailhead side and blocked other logs. You have about a 10' log walk and then it's like a sidewalk coming across the tree tangle and then another short log walk. I have 1 picture of the area. I also have lots of waterfall pics.

I have Cold Mountain reserved at the library. Should start it within the week when it's finally returned.

My scanner is down now, but should be able to email by Monday morning.

But...
How are you going to have a pool party in camp now? Spoil sport!

Congrats on the new gear!

Sounds good sandy. I have a Coleman Aries that I use when base camping. I forgot we were base camping when we went to Sipsy so I didn't bring it.

How are things down South?

Yep, on the January trip it was waist deep and cold. Last weekend it was a little over ankle deep.

I think that it's usually about ankle deep. At least it was last May. Even after a decent all-night rain it was only about mid-calf.
