Me too Pathman!
I enjoyed it thoroughly!!!
My In-laws were over and watched it with us....it was neat when my son and I recognized many of the places where the photos had been taken... like Thousand Island Lake , Banner Peak and the Ritter Range, The Minarets, etc. (We spent a few days in the Ansel Adams Wilderness last year.)

Missed the show, but talked to someone on the lifts who's seen my webpage. They were climbing Banner around the same time we were at Thousand Island Lake on our JMT trip. So now we're going to add Banner on our "to do" list.

btw, Ansel Adams granddaughter has a restaurant by Mono Lake called the Mono Inn. She wasn't there when we went. Great seafood!

Definitely a great show. Some of the things he did with his photography will make me look at my photgraphy differently now.

Absolutely fantastic show about one of the greatest photographers ever. His work is an inspiration to me. It is so hard to capture the "feeling" of a place on film, but that's exactly what Adams excelled at.

If we ever elect a photographer to office, apparently we'll have a well informed voting public. PBS also has some very good educational programs about economics as well.

The filming was also very good. The live action stuff of Yosemite was very well done.

One effect they used that really made the photos amazing is when they would start closeup on what looked good enough for an entire picture and then zoom back to show the jaw dropping beauty and photography.

I also enjoyed the film clips of Adams doing prints and how he got some of the dramatic effects.

Very impressive. Thanks for the tip Crazy. Normally, I would have been watching Eco-challenge. This was much better.
