Waiting for the truck today. I have 2 tents coming from Sierra Trading Post (SD Baku 3 and GoLite Trig2). I got talked into parting with my Quest Viper tent and had to replace it. (I am not certain how to explain why I replaced one tent with two though.) :-)

It's a tent - therefore no explanation is required.

Yes, I had a visit last week, and will again in 3 days. I ordered a ULA Circuit pack in a Medium, but I want to see how a large will fit too, so I ordered a large and will send back the pack that doesn't fit as well.

Not Brown, but Yellow
If you know anyone that works for the YRC umbrella of transportation companies (Yellow, Roadway, Holland, Reimer, Glen Moore, Reddaway, New Penn)they may be out of a job as of December 23rd.

Traditionally the "best" time to close a large trucking company down is xmas. The 25th is the only day they are truly closed, no freight in the system, all drivers are home, and all tractors at their domicile.

14,000 non union workers
35,000 union
49,000 total

This may be a move to screw the teamsters who own 15-20% of the company, and terminate the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and be able to come back as a non-union company...but that's a long stretch.

I'm not with them...I'm ok, but a buncha friends are with them, and tons in the industry. But I felt that this story hasn't seen mainstream news, and it's almost 50k jobs!!!!

I'm sure that UPS will use this news as a way to break their CBA with the teamsters, drop their pay, and be non union again.

If there are 50K qualified applicants willing to work for less why shouldn't UPS be allowed to hire those folks?

UPS is union? An Atlanta company? Delta must be shaking it's collective head.

I've heard it said many times the three sweetest words in the English language are "I love you". Me?
