im sorry, i think if anyone read the instant message conversations that Foley had with the pages, its pretty obvious that he's a predatory pedophile and should be put in prison.

Well I agree mjw...now as for the 10th

Libbies don't have a problem with it...it is you Socialist that HATE an amendment that basically says if the power was not in the Constitution the states must rule on the laws separately.

As for the Supreme Court MAKING law...sorry they do and you know it.

but you said, not an hour ago:

But for you libbies there is the little nasty 10th amendment.-xl400

are libbies and socialists the same thing? is this like the whole homosexual/pedophile, iraq/al-qaeda thing? seems to me that you are a suffering from an acute case of equivocation.

im still not sure what any of this has would have to do with someone who has socialist tendencies...? power being given to the states as opposed to a centralized government has nothing to do with a theory of economics. whether the states or the federal government have more power is inconsequential in regards to terms of 'socialist' or 'capitalist'...apples and oranges.

so why would a socialist hate the tenth amendment anyway? please explain what you're going on about.

no. they dont. its pretty obvious. they dont make law. congress makes law. that is why we have congress. making law and determining legality of law is different. im more than happy to argue about methods of jurisprudence, just say the word.

still ignoring my points about the wealthy new englander, the applicability of foreign laws, and the thing about executive privilege consolidating power in one centralized part of government i see. nice one. you should think about those things.

by the way, you're doing a heck of a job of playing the blame game with me right now.
whether or not you are a republican, well, thats up to you to say.

instead of thinking about what the issues are, you are too busy trying to find the correct derogatory name to group me into so that you can make a completely specious argument as to why 'people like me' are so problematic.

be proud.

There is a rush to judgement there. You could be right that he is a predatory pedophile, if so, that will come to light given all the publicity. If it turns out he was a predatory pedophile - sure he should be put in prison. If he was just getting his rocks off with lewd conversation, then losing his job and being publicly humiliated is enough. Maybe there was a nasty cover-up, if so, the evidence is likely to appear.

I wish politicians and pundits were a bit more deliberative and would counsel patience and suggest waiting for the evidence. It seems like everybody either wants to stonewall, or form a lynch mob - depending on the party of the accused.

Actually, I assume there are a lot of people who honestly just want to get to the bottom of it and let the chips fall where they may (pardon the mixing of metaphors) and are willing to wait for the evidence to come in. Of course they aren't the one's drawing media attention or if they are in the media, they aren't the one's generating viewership. They also aren't in there scoring political points and making mud stick wherever they can.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Richard Perle said Friday that former CIA Director George Tenet is attempting to "shift responsibility" for his failure to anticipate the September 11, 2001, attacks and recognize the threat terrorists posed to the United States.

The former assistant secretary of defense, singled out in Tenet's book for immediately linking former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein with the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, disputed Tenet's recollection.

"He simply makes up things I never said and places them on a date I wasn't even in the country," Perle said on CNN's "The Situation Room."

In Tenet's book about his tenure at the CIA, "At the Center of the Storm," he writes that the day after the 9/11 attacks, Perle told him, "Iraq has to pay the price for what happened. They bear responsibility."

Tenet says he told him this while leaving the Oval Office on the 12th. Perle wasn't even in the country then. He was stuck in France because there were no flights in or out of the country.

Tenet's a liar.

He already addressed that. He stands by what he said Perle told him but was off by a couple of days.

Ah Yes.... "The Committee to Re-elect".... Fred Thompson became quite familiar with that bunch, (perhaps not by choice).

Did you ever see "Nasty Habits"? It was a great parody film from the late 70s.... The Nixon White House set in a convent, LMAO! Check it out ---

Thanks, but what difference does the idiotic use of old threads that violate the terms of use, that matt has established, serve other than making the lefties look like uncaring fools?
Of course, I personally love it when the lefties kill their credibility with the first post.

Thread cops???
"Thanks, but what difference does the idiotic use of old threads that violate the terms of use, that Matt has established, serve other than making the lefties look like uncaring fools?"

Then Matt should reclassify all the old threads to keep those that cant deal with the facts from their incessant whining.

I bet you were a bathroom monitor in school....huh.

Silly wing nut ;-)

It looks like Tenet is the one playing the blame game. He sounds more like he was the Director of the CYA.

Just take 'em all out back and shoot them. Better yet, I'd like some public executions. Mandatory attendance for all politicians.

“He already addressed that. He stands by what he said Perle told him but was off by a couple of days.”

How do you screw that up? One of the most important days in this guy's career and he completely forgets having talked to someone about going to war? Yeah, right.

But who needs accuracy when it comes to this stuff?
