Hey Prowler, I prefer to eat what I make and dehydrate at home. The Enertia meals are "ok" and cost less than most. I find them a little bland so I always bring along some salt, pepper, etc.

What I do like about them is the nutritional value and ingredients.

I think I could live off my homemade jerky and granola bars!!

Ya, I dehydrtae also, but Im a procrastinater(?spelling?) so I throw my pack together the night before. Unless olonger trip, i get it together two nights before

Same here.. commercial BP foods are my 'back-up' plan.. I find that I can bring all sorts of stuff without resorting to BUYing my meals that way.

(and it's cheaper too!)

i like to dehydrate my own also..but for an overnight that comes up quick and you wanna leave your stove..those heatermeals are GOOOOOD...lotsa calories/carbs/fats..taste great..large portions, get nice and hot and aren't tooo heavy
