AT in VA

“I am planning on doing the thirty mile stretch between Damascus and the Grayson Highlands on the AT in early April. If anybody has been to the area I would love any tips, and information on what to expect.”

“Easy, beautiful, probably cold. This is high country, for Virginia. Think Scotland, not Dixie. There are some loops possible in there, if you want - lots of trails through the Grayson Highlands, and the Bike Trail by the river makes a nice loop back to town.”
