“i had the scariest dream a few weeks ago. it didnt last long but it effed me up in the head for the rest of the day.”

“it wasnt even really about anything. it was just this horrible, pervasive, profound fear, like i was a character in a clive barker novel.”

“all that happend was i was in this room, and all was blood red, and i had my hand on the door-knob, but some unseen unknown force was keeping me from turning the handle, but finally i did, and then i was running in slow motion out of the room yelling "help me help me". then i woke up, terrified. i have never had a dream half as scary as that. i had to sleep in a chair the next nite because i could not get back in bed from the fear.”

“yikes... i've had dreams like that. i have a really bad reoccuring nightmare that i have where my temples are being squeezed really hard by someone trying to kill me and i wake up right before i die and have a headache. it's scarey as hell, but it actually sounds kinda funny when i type it out lol.”

“While I'm thrilled the boy was found, there were a couple interesting points brought up recently about the search.

(1) The searchers were surprised that the boy went uphill.
One of the first things you learn in Search Management is, kids GO UP HILL.

(2) The Uncle said the boy hid from searchers because his "Stranger Danger" instinct kicked in. He even was reluctant to drink water when he was first found because of this.
What have his parents been teaching him?

About 25 years ago we had a search in Trinity County.

We were told not to search the ridge surrounding his house because kids dont go uphill. We ran sirens and lights on the patrol cars to "attract" him.

We found him the next day, on the ridge looking down at his house, dead from hypothermia. When we questioned his parents we learned that his dad would tell him "if your bad, I'll call the cops and they will come and take you away"

The truck, with a very banged up front, chose to park right in front of a fire hydrant. Impossible for you, I know.

That car shows up (1AMish), the kid hits that tree trying to park it. A bunch of them are hanging out to the right, on the steps of an unoccupied rowhouse, smoking something until a cop car comes along and everyone walks away. A Kid drops something at the curb. There is a screwdriver there. On the trunk of the car, in the picture, is a non-matching license plate.”

“My car is parked right across the street from that jeep. We decided not to pay the 100/mo for a private spot in the back (our "yard" is Fenced in), accessed by the alley. Two nights ago someone was carjacked in our alley.

I think this is starting to wear on us.”

“whew....dont know how long i could stand that....im living near the local high school, and had a problem with vandalism....see a girl who went to that school had the same car i did, and ticked some people off...so fri or sat night crusin around....hey its her car...needless to say i ended up puttin in 2 windshields, and one rear windshield. bought new truck...problem solved”
