Mount Rushmore???

That's truely bizzare!

If that ever happens it would be entirely appropriate to use Rushmore for gunnery practice much like the Taliban did with those Budhist statues in Afganistan.

I'm just curious- where do the right-wing death squads come in to this formula?

LOL at Pedxing!

I bash BushI, BushII, and Regan because I was a Republican until half way through BushI. Then I became kinda libertarian, and I thought that was a trendyCROCK OF CRAP! Now I'm independent and I RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE! I honestly think both major parties are just hacking on each other instead of focusing on the topics at hand, if you doubt this check out the fact that Ice Tea can't spell to save his life, and the first HUGE act of terror against America happened in 1982 and FINALLY we are addressing the issue (even though I think some of what we are doing is overly reactionary... been in an airport lately???? SHEESH!)

The last good president we had was Edith Wilson. Before that the best president was U.S. Grant. He drank whiskey by the bottle and knew what to do with cigars.

Just wondering?
How did Clinton handle the market better? I'm talking about Clinton actually doing something not something that happened while he was in office and he tried to take credit for?

Definition of a Libertarian:

A political independent who supports personal freedom and minimal government intrusion above all other issues, by exercising his right to throw his vote away.

Lately it seems Libertarian is the haven of the super right-wing wacko. I like the minimal government intrusion thing, but I believe the government has to be involved in infrastructure/education/defense. Now before you jump on my head about education, I believe the populous MUST have a similar education, and I believe our education system currently is a cheap day care system.

I appreciate your opinion, donman, but I think I will wait until I hear from Ice Tea to decide how I feel about the education crisis.

I agree about the state of our education system. It's pretty obvious from reading these posts in this thread and the others that anyone who graduated high school or college in this country in the last twenty years or so is about as educated as a box of rocks.

donman-
I believe that'd be "populace"
You're(another commonly misspelled word on this forum), not "your", (that being possesive of "you"), on the right track as far as education.

Though "compatible" would be a better word than "similar".
Or better yet, "consistent" education......in this nation.

Why does everyone blame the system? Hell, here in MN the public schools get as much funding per child as some of the private schools.

The problem is they waste it on PC bull$hit along with some kind of administration for every thing you could imagine. If people would start taking some accountability for there damn kids and stop expecting the government to raise there kids we wouldn't have this issue.

Damn grammar police in here! I don't want the gov to raise kids, I agree not their job. As for consistent education, I believe we have that, although it's consistent in its ability to suck.

I think our children need to know somethings when they get out of HS that they are not being taught now. Problem solving, budgeting/financial planning, basic computer skills, how to write letters & resumes, and how to initiate a project

I haven't read the thread, but I can be sure that all the facts that are posted in the attack on conservatives are misconstrued, misleading, or just worng. However that is if any facts are presnted, most of librial talk is just opinion, no real facts to back them up.

Interesting posts here... good points by many (I find myself alternately agreeing and disagreeing with some people's posts)

True, education can always be improved, but I get a big kick out of all the Chicken Littles in the world.

More foreign students come to get a higher education here, than anywhere else in the world. Anybody think the U.S. can't compete in most high-tech sectors? Anybody check which country has won the most Nobel Prizes? By far. Yeah, we're all just a bunch of idiots here.
