Who believes in Global Warming?

“By stating that Mars has been observed to be warming, it is implied that the heat output of the Sun has been greater of late and therefore its not people's fault on Earth.

But, it is known the heat output from the Sun is very stable, waxes and wanes a little in cycles that have been observed.

Mars and to a greater extent Pluto have much more elliptical orbits around the Sun than does the Earth, so over a couple of (Earth)years for Mars or centuries for Pluto those 2 planets/bodies will be much closer and then much further away from the Sun, so warming and cooling even though the Sun's heat output would have changed very little over that time.

Any dramatic warming or completely out of the ordinary climate change that occurs on Earth the next few years will almost certainly not be due to changes in Solar heat output.

I run dictionary.com in a window and throw words in there that I'm a little shaky on. It came back with the correct spelling, by my c and p didn't transfer. Thanks for the pick up.

Good post, lone. Let's also not forget that the magnetic fields of the plants in question are very different as well.

I heard that sans storms off the coast of west Africa were high this year, which can impact the development of tropical depressions.

Once all of the data is in, perhaps it will be clearer to just what is going on. Remember, we complete a global wobble cycle in 6 years; it could get a little interesting.

The terminology should be Global CLIMATE change the answer is YES there is. Now from the 13th century to the mid 19th century we went through a Little Ice Age. This means for the last 150 or so years we have been coming OUT of an Ice age. Lets see, now when WINTER ends...it normally (except for the period of the Little Ice Age) GETS WARMER.

Addtionally there is evidence the Sun has been hotter....don't know how many people have ever had a camp fire but if you build it bigger and hotter the immediate area gets hotter.

The entire tack of the Global Warming loons is not that there is Climate Change...but that MANKIND WILL DIE unless...the UNITED STATES gives up its prosperity. The current climate condition is an issue, what ever is causing it.

Even if we were to do a 180 on the research already presented and say all of this is not human induced/exasperated, we have developed and placed so many people that will have property under water if the current trend in rising oceanic levels continue at the present pace. Current climate change is an potential future economic/political issue for this country. We need to take proactive measures.

This is suppedly happening now, but if you read the Energy Act that Bush and Company wrote, the oil related companies get infinite tax breaks under the law, while tax breaks for alernative energy companies are limited to smaller terms that need to be renewed.

Big oil still has a hold on many of the wallets on Capitol Hill, unfortunately. It will be too late once we pass the Peak Oil period and some nations withhold oil production due to hatred of the U.S.”
