“It's iitonen@netscape.net and I hope we can meet up this spring or summer. My daughter, who lives in Marquette, and I hope to be venturing out on some long weekends. She is determined to overcome some of her outdoor phobias such as bugs and snakes, since she loves mtn biking and wants to try kayaking to keep her in shape over summer for gymnastics in fall/winter. She says she will try backpacking, too!”

I took a mini vacation to Minneapolis last weekend. Lots of fine dining, theater and comedy clubs to be found. Went to a sports bar that had rows of pool tables, dart boards and foosball (sp) tables. I had a great time but learned to appreciate my little country home a little more. The city is a great place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.

Anyway, I'm sending you an e-mail. Hopefully we can hook up for some hiking. I'd love to help your daughter overcome her phobias. :o)”

“sunshine, have you ever hiked at Sylvania? I've canoed it, but the trails could be fun around Clark Lake before the bugs start, or after they calm down. My daughter likes the Copper Country, so maybe we'll be bumbling around your neighborhood.”
