You won't find many older, that is, more experienced than me! I still do things many younger ones can't do. Check me, and scroll down for some action shots. Call me at (the) 1wa-nted

Dr. Phil is "in"
(pulling out soapbox...)

Carlette - Dang. Get out of the doldrums and think positive about your future!! You are about to enter the prime of your life. At your age I started working on my third college degree. At 39 I lost 57 lbs and started backpacking. At 47 I started my fourth degree and started taking swing dance lessons. My friend is 84 and he is working on his doctorate!!

(putting soapbox away...specific suggestions upon request)

Charlette
Listen to Dr. Phil!!!! Turned 40 in May of last year and this has been the best year of my life (besides the year my daughter was born!). I've lost 56# and in the best shape I have EVER been in. Have tons of energy, not bothered with all the "small stuff" and smile all the time! Started dating again a few months back and having a blast. It's funny, with age comes the comfort of knowing where you have been, the acceptance of where you are headed, and the assurance of who you really are! Celebrate 40, don't dread it! Wouldn't go back for the world!

Carlette, when I was 36 I was a Sooper Dooper Mountain Trooper.

When I was 40 I could still sprint faster than any of the kids on the block.
(that was in my homemaker years when the kids were little)

At 53 I don't run anymore, but I have hiked with Pennsy and EarthNsky.

You are only as old as you think you are. I think I'm still 24, my body is starting to tell me otherwise (I'm almost 34).

I've noticed how my hands look more like my Dad's every day. Funny.

The only thing bad about turning 40 is hair stops growing on top of you head and starts growing out of your ears and nose. Glad I'm only 39.

It doesn't matter if you're turning 30, 40, 50, 60 or whatever. As long as you have your health, there's not much to complain about.

I've been over 40 for a little while now and I realized that you really don't become an adult or even think like one until your 40!
