Canoe trip in May

“On the 11 Points National Scenic River, in Missouri's Mark Twain Nat'l Forest.

The arrival date is May 17th for evening festivities, then hit the outfitter sat morn and then splash into the water sat morn, float, camp river side sat nite with a huge dinner and bon fire...huge breakfast sun morn...float and off the river mid afternoon sun then head home.

Interested parties please respond. I will provide phone numbers to the outfitter with the best deal...I am looking into it now. If you have your own canoe...cool! If anyone has a canoe for sale...let me know...I might be interested.”

“I gotta know how many people will be in. make some jambalya with chicken and sausage...the list is endless...like the summer...that's it...the endless canoe trip...it never ends. we'll eat till we are as big as TownDawg. the menu is already in the planning stages...don;t forget the pancakes and heaping gobs of homefries. no rush, cause the river will carry us to our destinies. I might bring my weber grill...LOl and color tv satellite hook up. heck, we could run cable all the way with us.

I need to know what ya'll are up for. fri nite thru sun afternoon or fri nite thru monday afternoon. The difference being 1 full day on the river (sat) and a partial (sun) or 2 full days (sat&sun) and partial (mon). It don;t make nonevermind to me. but it will to pick out a route and how long the trip is.

“I figure that we can cover @ 16 miles a day with 2 people paddling in each canoe. in 2 1/2 days we can cover @ 36 miles. which is perfect as there is a pull out at 35.6 miles. Although there is a place called "The Narrows" that sounds REALLY cool, but it is at 44.3 miles, which might put us over the 1/2 day mark.

Have any of you done this river before? and do you have photo's that you could like to so as to intrigue any interested parties.”

“the booklet that the NFS has out is older than email...LOL. Just use the telephone...LOL, they will be glad to send you one.

There ya go...so much information...so few really interested...Hey here's my thought for hte night...I am going to cook a #&%!$ load of great food to eat on this trip and we'll be partying all night. So...for those few that are coming...YOU BETTER HAVE A FRIGGIN HUGE APPETITE!!! I won;'t be cutting back on the quatities and I don't do leftovers.”

“there's no cutting back the weight on this trip. we can bring chairs, and grills, and coolers, whatever else we want. be creative here. my canoe can hold over 1000 lbs.”

“Pack the coolers with ice and water and it will stay plenty cold...If anyone gets out of control though,,,they will be cut up into little peices and fed to the fishies. Alcholol and boating don't mix. Drink on shore, not on the water.
