New here. WV.
Hello, my name is Keith. I live in Huntington WV. Love backpacking. Been to Shawnee a few times. Done it all exept for the wilderness trail which I plan to do soon. Just got back from a three day trip at Cranberry Wilderness WV. Great place to go. Loved it there. Any input on Zaleski. Would like to go there soon also. See you later.

In PA... At Parents House... BoredOutOfMyGord
Cranberry Wilderness is awesome. Been a few years since I was there, but I have the whole trail map (photocopied pages taped together) on my wall and hope to get back there soon. Hope to get others to go also so we can set up a circuit hike without having to loop back to the same vehicle.

Do a search for Zaleski and read what others have posted...that'll give you an idea of the place.

Welcome!
Welcome to TT Keith, I've been here for about a month myself. I grew up around Pittsburgh, but I'm currently living in California, so I can't help you with your question.

hey prowler
As far as good loop trails in WV., there is not any close to where I live. There is the Lost trail at Beech fork, but its only 7 miles. Lake Vesuvios, just outside of Ironton, Ohio, has a 16 mile loop trail I do alot. I usally do this as a day hike to keep in shape. Need to be prepared for no water supply.

Good morning Keith. I've been to Huntington. Nice place and it was a nice drive getting there. You are fairly near a lot of TT'ers, so I'm sure that you will be able to put together some group hikes that others will join. The VA and Tenn group are very friendly. Buddur and his dog in Ohio are great to hike with too. Glad to have you on board.

Welcome Keith! Zieleski is a gorgeous area. You should be able to find some info from past group hikes by searching for Zieleski. Good luck!

I can probably do a work party in June at Tar Hollow. I'm only a couple of hours away. And bigfoot, I don't pack a gun, don't have a dog, use the Kelty Jetstream 2 tent, And a Moonestone bag.
