Salt Creek, Canyonlands
Anyone who has hiked Salt Creek in Canyonlands, Utah would like to share tips for finding not obvious petroglyphs, ruins and/or trip story? I have hiked upper Salt Creek once and have seen All-American Man, Four Faces, some in Big Pocket and along the trail. Beautiful, the whole place is beautiful. We are going back in May.

I day-hiked the jeep road from the canyon entrance to Angel Arch back in '86. If you find my glasses let me know. I highly recommend not day-hiking, backpack and camp!

We are going in and out from Cathedral Butte for 3 nights.,Also from Squaw Flats into Lost Canyon for another 3. Dayhike from there to Peekaboo area. The road is now closed to vehicles from Peekaboo on. I'll keep an eye out for glasses as wel as petroglyphs!

The hike around Chesler Park and Druid Arch is also worthwhile.

We have day-hiked 2 loops from Elephant Hill TH and Squaw Flats TH but didnt get as far as Druid Arch. Maybe a fall trip since we have May planned. Do you have any idea if you can get water at Elephant Canyon Camp #1? Many of the back country camps are dry and I cringe to think of carrying 2-3 days water.
