we're financing bin laden?

“i talked with a friend a few nights ago who is an information technology major. he was telling me that bin laden's people made the money to finance this war on us by short selling stock in the airline and other parts of the travel industry. i haven't heard anything like this before. it blew me away. the us is financing both sides of this war is what that would mean, right? if this is true these people really did their homework, didn't they?”

“There was a lot in the papers about this shortly after 9/11. I haven't seen much about it since. Supposedly the govt was freezing accounts and investigating, but I haven't seen much about this since then. Does anyone know whether the Bin Laden contingent made off with a lot of the cash on this?”

“from what my friend was telling me, by the time they trace any large amount of money to anyone important, it will be too late. we'll know who we're looking for but,...... we know we're looking for osama too, right?”

“The big story was that they shorted the stock of the 2 airlines that they hijacked. knowing they'd take the biggest hit. Suppossedly freezing of assests in the different countries is how the small nations are "helping" the US”
