Hey RL that happens all over the place with roads that have tolls.

Take the area I live in 70% of the interstate is tolls.

Its all Goverment and they say one thing and do another.

good point CMB. thanks for sheading some light on this, everyone. I never knew that.

One other point I'll bring up: I know that when they lay the raod down, they do not put enough material down and have to rip it up only years down the road.

I agree w/pekka and everyone else about MDOT. please don't take anything I said as a defense of those guys. I guess ( as some might tell on the other thread) I'm just to the point of where I'm sick of seeing everyone with there hand out, wanting my money, with some lame excuse. It seems as though I can never enjoy (let alone save anything) most of what I bring home.

Hey, who's in da U.P.? Head over to Tech....and be a part of a Guiness World Record!

STUDENTS SEEK TO BREAK WORLD RECORDS: Winter Carnival has long been
famous for elaborate sculptures crafted from snow and ice. This year,
students are putting the university's copious snowfall to a different
use. In a single day, they hope to break the world records for the
largest snowball, the biggest snowball fight, and the highest number of
snow angels made in a single event. It all happens on Friday, February
10. Michigan Tech students will roll up a six-foot snowball in the
morning. Then, in the afternoon, they are inviting the general public,
including area schoolchildren in grades four and up, to come to Sherman
Field. They will line up in two teams for the snowball fight and then
drop to the ground and make snow angels. Students have contacted
Guinness World Records and are working to get their anticipated
three-record feat included in its roster. A crowd of more than 3,100
will be needed for the snowball fight and the group snow-angel fest.
Everyone is invited to participate. Registration is set for noon-12:45
p.m. at Sherman Field, with the snowball fight and snow-angel event
scheduled for 1:00 p.m. For more information, contact Travis Pierce,

We have lots of wet sticky snow today! Great for statue building AND it makes the best snow balls. *evil grin*

only need 3100 people for a record snowball fight? Guinness must not have been present for the 1995 San Diego vs New York Giants
football game.

UP= Upper Peninsula as in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. There's Lower Michigan (the mitten) and then there's the U.P. where we yoopers reside. :)

Despite being born and raised in the Upper Peninsula, I can neither confirm nor deny that, and on the advice of council wish to invoke my Fifth Ammendment privileges.

Sarabelle, you're always welcome in our home. Warning: we now have THREE kitties, not just one. Oh, and we live in a new home. Next door is Midnight. She looks just like you but all black. I'm assuming Mr. Gissmaeioux prefers blondes. Don't worry, though, "Middy" doesn't get out much because her owner is a real fruitloop. Speaking of which, maybe you could poop on her lawn seeing as how Middy poops on our lawn and her owner never cleans it up. :o)
