O.K. - False advertising on the thread title. Finally got my Hennessy Ultralight and set her up after Sundays' yard work. Easy and quick to set-up. Told the wife that I was not sure if I could sleep in the hammock. That was 3:30pm. The next thing I knew it was 4:00pm and I was RESTED. I can't wait to give this thing an overnight test. So far..so good. I will be customizing my hammock if she passes the overnighter. Go to REI and give this thing a try. At 1lb,5oz it is a swinging deal.

Ya gotta try the thing. There is no thermarest that gives this level of comfort. At least for a nap...can't yet say if 8 hours is awesome or awful.

I have the REI Half Dome Plus and Thermarest LE - total weight is 8lbs. The HH saves me 7.5lbs and is POTENTIALLY more comfortable. I am keeping my tent for multiperson, winter and treeless excursions. The HH will be a fair weather friend.

Slip your feet out of the slit in the bottom of the hammock. Stand up and aim to the side. Sit back and retract your feet.

I just got a new Hennessy Ultralight Assy from Tom. He sent it to me last week to test. I had a coversation with him about 1 1/2 years ago about making a cammo ultralight because I love mine so much I use it at work. Well the new model he sent me is CAMMO!

The Assym is nice, but if you already have an ultralight and are happy with it, stick to that, the differences ain't that much that I can tell so far. And the Assy in about 4 ounces heavier.

For some Hennessy hammock tips check my site here.

I plan to write up the new Assym Ultralight soon.

SGT ROck -

I have the assym Ultralight. Tom has indicated to me that the Safari Ultralight is even more comfortable. Have you ever seen a review for that model? If I stick with the assym Ultralight, I will modify.

I haven't seen a review of it. I tried out my new assym and can't say it is any more comfortable thatn my other ultralight. I slee TOO good in them both LOL.
