It was a great day!
Fujifilm Finepix 2600 zoom (digital) and it seems to be back to normal after fogging up on our snow trip.

Sweet! Looks like a wholesome family outing! Families should do that more often! Way to lead the charge, WW!

Cool pics! I like that Tunnel Rock.

BTW how do you guys like Webshots? I've been using it lately and it seems pretty easy (even for me). Has anyone tried their "fast upload" program?

Luv webshots.....got 3 accounts so far
I use the MyPhotosAssistant at home to upload. I can upload the whole roll of film at once. Then just delete the ones I don't want, and label, organize.

It doesn't work at work, tho.

Hey snow nymph!
I'm using the Camedia Master (from my Olympus) to download the pics off the camera, but can you upload all the pics at once into a Webshots album? I'm just going one at a time uploading from the file and it takes awile.

BTW- regarding Montanapalooza- That would be great if you guys can leave a vehicle at the exit point. I can shuttle quite a few over to the start at Cooke City and maybe we could get a couple more vehicles at either end as well. It's safe at both trailheads; there are some summer cabins at the exit and lot's of backpackers and Forest Service folks at the other. I've never heard of any vandalism at either end.

I do the old fashion film developing, but I have them put the images on CD. I use the MyPhotosAssistant and it lets me upload up to 36 photos from the CD at a time, then I go in and edit. Saves me a lot of time.

Re: Montanapalooza. We can leave a vehicle at the exit. I've never had a problem with vandalism at trailheads. Once my alarm goes off, the truck won't start til I fix it. So I'm not worried about it.

One thing we'll have to do is find a place to store the food for our WY trip while on the Montanapalooza. Are there stores/places that will do this? When we did the JMT, there were a couple of stores in the beginning that kept our food for a few $$. We don't want to leave it in the vehicles.

Great pics! I am a waterfall nut and seeing these just might inspire to start making a few webshot albums with all the ones I have lying around.

Looks like you did some tripod work on the WNC ones to get the cool slow shutter speed look.

You have a beautiful family, Wind Walker. That's the best kind of time you can get with those you love most.

Thanks for being open with your photos. There's something about those waters.

Windwalker2000....Beautiful Pics!
I'm going to have to get out to the right coast someday.

Aero... I recently dowloaded the photo assistant program and it is faster than uploading one at a time. I'm happy with Webshots...so far so good ;)

Great pics Snow Nymph. You'll have to start a new album for Montana this summer!

Here's a couple near the cabin (in case we need to add another shower)

Pennsy, no peeing in the water. If its warm, we'll blame it on you. J/K!!

BTW, you have to give the camera to someone else on your trips. Saw your webshots, photos of everyone but you.

Aero, I'll probably have to do 2 albums for Montanapalooza. I'm taking 6 rolls for MT, and 12 rolls for WY.

LOL!! Nah, I wouldn't pee in the water. I don't like yellow tints in my waterfall pics.

And I prefer to be behind the camera, not in front. BUT if you noticed, there are 2 group pics and lile ole is in the one where I loaned Fritz my camera.

I'm only bringing one roll to the Black Forest Trail trip. But it's a 1gig microdrive memory card good for 700+ pics.

I saw that, but you were in the shadow.

I want to try a digital, but don't want to spend too much. I need another camera to carry snowboarding that will take a beating.

Leave it to Fritz to keep me in the dark!

Funny thing about cameras... you have to pay more to get a good quality one that will take a beating, but the more you pay, the more protective you are of it.

Anywho Snow Nymph, I'm still hanging on the Coolpix 995 but not using it, and if you'd like to try it out I can send it out to you.

Speaking of waterfalls......
I'm still working on a photo album for my waterfall photos that include North Carolina, Virginia, Pa, and New Hampshire.

In the meantime, I took some day hikes this weekend in the Pocono Mts and Ricketts Glen State Park in Pa and came up with 30 waterfall photos.

That's a big lens, pennsy, or is that a sun shade?

If I "tried out the Cool Pix", I'd be afraid of damaging it.

I got the extra warranty on my Canon EOS 2000. They said if they can't fix it they'll replace it. When I took it in for a cleaning, they commented that I "really got some use out of it".

btw, those are some kewl waterfalls! I'll have to hook up the scanner and start a "Waterfall" album.

"Is that a big lens, Pennsy, or are you just happy to see me?"
Fritz

4/02/02

Ha ha Fritz! It's a VERY big lens.

Actually, it's a rather small Nikon 24-120mm lens with a wide hood to allow for the wide angle.

Thanks for the kudos Snowy! The beauty of digital.... those pics were shot Sat and Sun and I had the album up Sun night. I am STILL working on scanning slides from October!

If you want to borrow the coolpix, don't worry about damaging it. It's under warranty but if something happens, I'm not worried about it.
