Whats a Skwerlz?

I got up there by snowshoes(still very much under developed as a Sport(?) over here).

It would have been about 12deg C with a cool south westerly blowing. A big cold front blew in about 2 hours later, sending all the chook-footers scurrying back to their cars.
Wombats and the odd wallaby might poke around in summer, there being lots of grass. The great Aussie legend of the mountain cattleman comes from around this area. The Film "A Man From Snowy River" was shot around here.

Old Zealand I think is in Holland?

Not too bad though for the flattest continent on Earth.”

“Bunyip, I loved the Snowy River films, but I don't recognize your pics as being from that area. I guess I'll have to watch the shows again (there's a good excuse). I remember thinking that the films looked a bit like they were filmed in our western mountains, the area around Ouray, Colorado. Except the peaks around Ouray are very high, 10,000 feet or more, I think.”
