Bad Addiction or Good Addiction?

“I was at the doctor's office waiting for my daughter's appointment. There was a stack of brochures about addiction, so I picked one up to read. It said "Do you notice that your child eats a certain food when upset, has to play a computer game every day after school, or spends hours on a internet forum?.....YIKES!!!! Yes I'm addicted to TrailTalk but is that a good thing or a bad thing?”

“'Tis a fun thing--I am not sure if it is good for you. I guess it depends on what you think you should be doing.”

“When I was at the Doc's for my daughter, it was mentioned that the pollen count was extremely high. I figure that is the problem since I don't have a fever. Spring allergies just help a little headcold become a long, dragged out thing.”

“I didn't know you had allergies, but I guess that would make a cold even worse. Sometimes these cold just hang on for weeks. Hope you get better soon.”

Bad addictions are the ones that can destroy your body from the inside out (smoking, boozing, drugs, ect). If they have a rehab for it then chances are it's bad.

“Addictions are bad. I have seen my kids addicted to computer forums and such at times. It was bad. The addicted person probably doesn't have enough objectivity to notice it. Once addicted, the person may even resort to such things as building web pages for their forum, inviting people from the forum to stay at their house, and going on outings with them for as long as 9 days at a time.
