Zaleski is a sooper swell place. Take the time to check out moonville tunnel if you have the time, we left a geocache there if your into that.

From camp D there is some seriously fun bushwacking to the old rail grade, plus about 5 river crossings!

moonville geocache
several people wrote me e-mails saying that they were unable to find our geocache....i thought maybe some kids had made off with it or something....

until yesterday when i received an e-mail from somebody who found it!!they took the comstock casino poker chip and the dublin irish festival drink token!!

i guess we just hid it too darn well!!

I haven't been to Zeleski for over a year now. I'm thinking of doing a solo trip there in May when it's nice and warm but the leaves don't hide some the great views on the south loop.

Can't go this weekend. Wish I could though. It's about a 7 hour drive for me so next time I go I plan to walk at least 3 days there to justify the drive. I'll see if anyone is planning a trip back there about October.

ya I hope so! ive never been there before.

my wife and I went way back in the day but never made it on the trail due to all the hunters!
My dog wouldnt even get out of the van because of all the gun shots going off. So we drove home and camped localy.

Hey WD I'd be interested. I checked out the map and it looks pretty cool. It depends though, I was planning on a multi-day AT trip in either September or October.
