Chicago is a drag. The good news, Sass, is that I may get an earlier start on Friday than I originally thought. I might be home by 4ish instead of 4:30/5:00. That will give me a better chance to be ready when you show up at 5:30.

I packed my pack today. 31#s with my food and a platy full, and a pint nalgene of water + a pint of "other liquid". Not bad eh? It's less than it usually weighs when Birch is along to tote some of the gear.”

Still trying to get my handyman over this weekend. I'm going to buy some mulch and put it down as soon as I log off of here tonight. Rest of hte weekend will be spent sleeping, walking, finish my taxes (I'm a slacker), possibly working, starting lesson plans for my class next week (I'm three lessons behind), cleaning my car and garage out, etc.
