FINALLY I got around to putting some photo albums together from my October trip to the White Mountains.

Here are the pics

Autumn in New Hampshire part 1 includes below timberline photos: waterfalls, streams, mountain views, covered bridges, etc... Due to the storm that arrived the same day I did and my lack of mountaineering gear, the first half of my trip was limited to low altitude dayhikes.

Part 2 includes photos of my hikes to the summits of Mt Lafayette, Mt Washington, and Mt Jefferson.

Every photo has a description to give you an idea where I was. As a "bonus," I just put up an album with 30 Pennsylvania waterfall photos taken this past weekend.

Enjoy the pics

Thankee much!!

Artex - I'm going to EMS tomorrow and pick up some Catskills maps. I'd like to do something up there this Sat/Sun. The Wittenberg-Cornell-Slide route sounds real interesting. Where are you that you can do a dayhike up there?

Be my guest WD.
I love it up there. I'm hoping to do a Presidentials traverse sometime this summer similiar to what you guys did. An ECT trip would be great.

Are you ready to do a 20 mile day in the Whites?

Nope.

I was there last fall the four days right before Pennsy was there, so I know what it's all about.

Although I almost think a traverse would be easier than dayhikes because when you are dayhiking, every day is a 3500 to 4500 foot climb AND descent. My knees couldn't take that.

By the way, Pennsy, those NH pictures are truly spectacular. Breathtaking.

Don't even THINK about it Frtiz! Geez, if I lead a trip up there, Search and Rescue better be informed.

Besides, it still on the back burner.

Presi Traverse
If you are serious about doing a presidential traverse and need to car spot, let me know. I'm taking off the week of the 15th to the 23rd of June, and doing a four-day trek to Mt Washington from my place in Thornton. If everything goes according to plan, I hope to do the traverse at the end of the trek.

Great pics! I especially enjoyed them knowing how close that will all be in just a short time. I'll be moving to NH or VT right around Hanover in the very near future.

Thanks MadRiver. I'll be sure to keep that in mind. It would probably be sometime in July for me. Ideally, I'd like to follow the AT pretty much from Pinkham Notch to Franconia Notch hitting as many summits as I can along the way.

I'm jealous skiracer!! I'd love to have all that country in my back yard. Good luck.
