New A16 in So Cali

“In Costa Mesa California we've had an Adventure 16 for years. It recently moved to a new complex called "the Camp", there's a bike store, diveshop, surfshop. Looks like there's gonna be a restaurant/bakery, and a yoga place too. The old shop was decent sized, had a discount loft, kinda seemed like a lodge (lots of wood). "The Camp" (including A16) is wood and metal, kinda antiseptic and modern. A16 actually has a Patagonia store in it now. I was teasing some of the employees there because there's actually an elevator in the store now! ("a backpacking store with AN ELEVATOR??"). Coolest thing... I didn't check it out too hard, but there is a map maker in there, you select the area (even if it the area falls onto separate USGS maps) and it will build one waterproof map for you! Very cool”
