I played polo. Yea, polo and not the type in the water. My RA is on the team here and as a floor function brought a group of us out to play around. Let me just say that it is incredably fun and surprisingly rough. It's great. Kinda like hockey on a horse. I'm actually thinking about joining the team next semester.

A while ago, they tried to start a mountain bike polo team in Montreal, Quebec....I guess they didn't get enough participants...

Yea Tom, I almost did fall off. I was reaching out and got blocked from the other side. Had to grab on for dear life.

Make sure to equip your bike with those spikes that protrude from the spokes.

Christoper Reeve was jumping which is 10 gazillion times more dangerous then any other form of riding.

I know. I've jumped since I was twelve.

Across the river in Aiken SC, they do quite a bit of polo, hunting, steeplechase, etc. They start the kids out with bicycle polo at the age of nine. I've seen some pretty horrendous wrecks over the years, and have had a few 'near misses,' myself.

Be careful. That's all I'm saying.

Why is it that a lot of the fun stuff in life is also dangerous?

'Cause that's why it's fun in the first place!

this afternoon I drove my kid to get his hair fixed....on my way to there I saw Camerons 12 year old friend on two notch road...which is a pretty busy road and also a main road.

I sort of wanna slap myself because I thought to myself...wtf is he doing there? he should be at home. [i noticed he still had his backpack on him]

about 2 hours later I got a phone call from his mom...asking me if i knew where josh was...uhuh!!!

Yeah...I can tell you where he was at 4:35PM give or take 5 minutes.

The police was over there house an hour later...what was he wearing? She couldnt' remember...[i don't blame her, it happens to me all the time]

I wasn't sure either. I thought I saw 2 boys about the same height, one had a redish shirt and the other a bluish shirt on.

Cameron looked at me: He does that all the time, he explained. Cam further explained "He always wants me to go to another lake or creek further away...but I always tell him no because you will get mad"

[Hell yeah I would get mad!!!
and yes..I am proud of him and feel that I can trust him a little bit more]

I talked ot Josh's mom on the phone, told her what cameron said, that Josh said somethign about a lake he wanted to find somehwere off two notch road... He said that to Cam just a couple of days ago.

I grab cameron and drive to the Clemson lake. [it's not really called that, but I don't know the name] For the first time we see an aligator there, but no Josh. The police was there too...and now they talked to Cameron. Cameron explained that Josh told him about the lake near two notch just a couple days ago...he also told him what road to take...

we drove back from Clemson lake, I saw the cop at the gas station, we passed him and drove the street Cameron said would lead to the lake. I told Cameron to watch for Josh on the side of the road...Not even 3 seconds later Cameron yelled..."there is Josh!!"

no kidding...there he was!! Trying to walk home. I put him in my car and flagged down the cop car. they called it in and followed me to Josh's home.

Damn..I would've whipped him silly. [my kid didnt' get his ass whipped for at least 3 years...so it does mean something...those words coming from me]

I am glad he's safe. And honestly...I am so glad that I had this talk with Cameron, because I always felt a little bit uneasy with him and Josh...[we had to look for them once...but found them after an hour]
Now I know I can trust him, and that he's pretty smart.

hahahah...one thing!! Josh must've walked at least 6 miles that afternoon...he would make a great hiker.

Anyway, that' really scared the crap out of me today!
