“day, it's the same topic really, people bragging about a member of the family, only a dog is usually fuzzier, unless you get one of those Chinese Crested dogs with no body hair.

Before I moved to WA, I heard on the news approximately one person on every block either sells or grows pot. I haven't found any of these people yet, but I'm still looking or rather sniffing around, lol:)

I was walking my dog in this park where this man was parked and the smell of pot was coming out of his car, but he thought if he held in what was in his mouth already, he wouldn't be detected. I guess he smoked too much already and his sensibility skills were gone, lol. The funny thing was, he was holding his breath with his cheeks puffed out. I told him he could exhale as I passed by. You had to be there; it was too funny.”

Gemini, a child's friends play a major role if your child tries or does drugs. Drug free friends will not like drug taking friends around, so if your kids keep drug free friends, they will not want to ruin their relationship by doing drugs and being cast aside by their non drugging friends.

I know self control and having information about the destructiveness of drugs is important too, but it really helps to be in good company. That pretty much remains constant through life. You tend to hang out with people that have the same values as you, even as an adult.”

“Last night was opening night for my baby girl's spring musical.

She's a ninth grader, has the lead part, was absolutely beautiful, remembered all her lines, was really acting not just delivering the words, sang beautifully on her solos....

It was such fun to watch...I was so proud my eyes were filling with happy tears. :)”

“My son's Robotics team participated in the FIRST regional competition this weekend. They are a rookie team and make it all the way to semi-finals! They have worked very hard to build this robot. In just six weeks, they had to design and build a robot that could accomplish different types of tasks on a playing field against other robots.

“I dont know why I find this so funny...

My four year old daughter is now in the habit of dancing around with a hand on her head (fingers fanned out pointing upwards) and making a "wing" outta her other arm and yelling " I am a rooster doodle dooo". Its a riot. The thing I like about this is the fact that she made this up.

She is currently singing another madeup song called "who heard from Army" which I assume has to do with emails form a deployed close friend, still cute though.”

“Its a mixed bag somedays WK. As entertaining as she is right now I am sicker then a dog and Sass is out so keeping up is a chore. But she can also entertain herself much better now too, she is now playing "polly pockets".

The other day she drew some "adventure maps" for upcoming races, very cute.

“No need to appoligize. She turned 1 month old this past Monday. She is starting to look at everything when she is up and alert. We have started putting her on her tummy for short periods of time to get the neck muscles working.

I cannot wait until she has control of her neck completly. I have a Kelty carrier and plan to take her on a lot of dayhikes this summer/fall.”

“We had our little one in her kelty pack at 4 months for her first over nighter, the pack is great. Its so fun to watch the little ones grow, a month is like a lifetime of development. Enjoy it all.”

I take him hiking lots, and he loves it. I have had him cracking up over the word "leaf" while hiking amongst maples in the fall.

WK- Consider selling your Kelty backpack and purchasing a tough traveler. (My kelty is collecting dust) Also, keep in mind that you cannot put your kid in that thing until he/she is 6 months old, because sitting upright can actually be painful to them.

“percious we used our kelty with our 4month old with zero trouble, once the kid can support its head you are good to go. Good luck with the potty training.

The nice thing about the kid carrier is the foot stirrups and great safety straps, my daughter loved that thing, she'd play for a spell then sleep, just liek at home.”

“birch my kidlets did something similar a week or so ago...
Playing outside in the snow, they'd run in and say "draw a treasure map for us!" I was kinda blank about what they wanted, but drew a squiggly line and an X where the treasure was, and they went off, map in hand to find it. I made several maps that day and they had a blast!”

“Hey twiggy, A fun thing to do is hide some candy and then draw a map to it.
Kids go nuts when they solve the map.”

“What's even more fun is to draw a map that leads them down into a basement room, where you shut the door and lock it so you can get some time alone with the wife.
