He have any clear favorite yet Hub? Gracie loved carrots and sweet potatoes to begin. Barbie made all of her food in a food processor. It cost ten times less than the jared stuff and was all fresh. If I would have thought ahead more, I would have planted more veggies in the garden for her.”

“My son is a member on a high school robotics team that participated in the national FIRST Robotics competition last weekend in Atlanta. You may have seen the CNN segment about the competition. Anyway, upon arriving home on Sunday, he was on cloud nine. My son loves to talk and I was all ready for a complete run down on the whole thing that would last for hours. So he blows into the house and says “Mom, you will never guess who I peed next to in the Georgia Dome men’s room. Steve Wozniak, one of the founders of Apple! My friends are going to be soooooo jealous.”

I guess this is a guy thing.

I found out later that his team was given an innovation award for their holinomic (sp?)omni-directional drive train, whatever that is...”

What made me most proud of my son's team is that the kids raised money by collecting aluminum cans (2,000 lbs!) and painting barns. They designed and built the entire robot. Not one mentor turned a single screw. They made a lot of mistakes on the robot, but they also learned more than any classroom could provide.

Was teaching kindergarteners about the difference b/w singular and plural. I asked if anyone was familiar with the word plural. Then, asked the same about the word singular. One boy raised his hand and said, "Yeah, it's a phone."

I believe that as well MDSHiker. I recently moved into a new position and the kidlets kept after me to bring them in to my "new work" Then I was moved to a different office and they had to come in again...

course, bulldozers would be way more cool!”

“My daughter, Julia, works for a winery/vineyard was on TV in Sacramento for the third time (in the past year) to talk about wine, wine tasting, and wine pairing wine with foods. It was during the noon news hour...channel 3 or 10...not sure. She did well, but I haven't seen the tape yet!”
