The one adult male who dances where B-Son does is about 6'1" and maybe 175 pounds of solid muscle. The pros they brought in to do the Nutcracker this past December were roughly the same size.”

I was at the Southridge Mountain Bike Races this weekend in Fontana. ErinAnne decided to race one class up so that she'd have competitors. She took 3rd place out of 3, :O(. She needs a lot more practice and definetly a new bike, the Dirtworks has had it.

Steve Jr. took 1st place in Expert, he had a perfect 3 minute run! Oh yeah, he was hot this weekend. Rich Houseman and Eric Carter were there racing Pro of course, (two classes up from Steve) and the best run this weekend was 2:44!

I wish I had the balls these kids have. A few falls during practice runs, but no injuries to speak of. They were awesome to watch!”

We each took a turn on the bass and the guitar.

I finished the guitar about four years ago for Henry's 17th birthday.

He and I collaborated on designing the bass which was put together last summer.

Earlier, Laurel was next door at her uncle's house, when she spotted a bone sticking out of the sand in his front yard. She dug up about 1/4 of a very old dog skeleton. Judging by the shoulders, pelvis and vertebrae it was about 40 pounds. How cool is that?”

I got the kids duck tape for their birthdays - a roll of pink for Ana and a roll of green for Austin. The other night Ana was pulling pieces off her brother's roll, muttering, "I have to learn to do this"...LOL...and then proudly showed me how she could rip the tape off with her hands.

We had been camping a few months ago with friends, and talked turned to how important it was to be able to do that, LOL...so Ana figured she needed to know - and her brother was cheering her on the whole time as she tore up almost the whole roll.

And then they wanted me to show them how to wrap their feet so they don't get blisters.
