From The New Brunswick Thread
While we camped at Mount Carleton Provincial Park......

The guys spent hours catching and releasing red squirrels.
We used the stick-and-string method propping open the lid of our emptied out cooler and a handful of corn flakes in and leading to the cooler.
Squirrel inevitably goes into cooler......yank string and ya got him.
The best part of this game was releasing the feisty little rascals. Upon opening the cooler the squirrels would do the most amazing and hysterical leaps to freedom leaving the boys rolling on the ground shrieking............ROFLMAO!!
And of course the same squirrels would keep coming back for more.

This road trip was in 1993 and the boys were my two oldest(7 & 10) and a cousin(8).

awsome fairy house!

Ana's kindergarten year, I invited all the girls in her class to go to an island to make fairy houses. We had a picnic on the beach, then hiked 1.5 miles on a trail that went around the island. Along the way the girls collected shells, bark, leaves - things to make the fairy houses. When we were getting close to “fairy village” I let each of the girls choose 2 fairies from a bunch of flower fairies that I’d made. They loved them! The village was huge and the creations were awesome! Here we were only allowed to use natural items, so when the girls finished their houses they put their fairies in, took pictures, then took the fairies home with them.
Everyone loved the trip and we went back a couple more years, but scheduling has become too hard. This year I’ll probably see if my brother and his wife want to bring my neice.

My 20 month old went up to my wife this weekend with a yellow card saying, "lellow, lellow, lellow." This morning they were in line at the school drop off behind a yellow Xterra. She started in again, "lellow, lellow, lellow." Pretty cool.

Both kids slept through the night. I almost feel worse having 6 uninterupted hours of sleep this morning.

The peanut slept 8.5 hours last night. Normally does two 3-4 hour chunks with a snack in between.

And she's been rolling from tummy to back since she was 3 weeks old.

Now...she's just chilling next to me on the couch :)

BrianSean is amazing! This is what he has built. He cut his own sheet metal for some pieces, he mounted the engine, and he spent days making all the little adjustments. Even when it was not going well he never yelled, cursed and threw tools, LOL! He's driving it all over the neighborhood and having a blast. Yesterday he gathered up all of his change and I took him down to buy a gallon of gas.

He is spray painting it black now. Apparently he has not run out of things to do to it yet.
