she took 130 photos, without a tripod for the camera, to make that. This was her first attempt at this and learned plenty for her next one. Like using something sticky under the furniture to keep it from moving around. Still, its pretty cool for a first effort.

awesome!

At the kids museum in Bangor you can make little movies like that with a camera and some figurines they have - it does take patience!

Some say Auriga was a charioteer. Some say he was a blacksmith who invented the chariot. Why he's sitting there with the goats is something of a mystery. Once in a while they call him a shepherd, perhaps to blend in with the livestock ----

Capella and The Kids

In the constellation Auriga, what appears to be a single bright star on the upper
right, Capella (the she-goat), is actually two pairs of binary stars. Just below Capella,
the small acute triangle consisting of Epsilon(ε), Zeta(ζ) and Nu(η) Aurigae are "the Kids".

Parmeniscus says that a certain Melisseus was king in Crete, and to his daughters Jove was brought to nurse. Since they did not have milk, they furnished him a she-goat, Amalthea by name, who is said to have reared him. She often bore twin kids, and at the very time that Jove was brought to her to nurse, had borne a pair. And so because of the kindness of the mother, the kids, too were placed among the constellations. Cleostratus of Tenedos is said to have first pointed out these kids among the stars.

I don't mind other guys dancing with my girl
That's fine, I know them all pretty well
But I know sometimes I must get out in the light
Better leave her behind with the kids, they're alright
The kids are alright

Laurel lost her first tooth yesterday, thank goodness. We were afraid they'd have to be pulled out, like HPM's baby teeth were. She kept telling everyone she hoped the tooth fairy would bring her a puppy instead of money.

My son has gone down to Tampa Florida for Spring Break. He's doing volunteer work at the Big Cat Rescue place there. Today he was pulling weeds under the watchful eye of a lioness.

cute kid!

Austin wanted to play baseball, so I signed him up for a clinic. After two hours of what looked like great fun - throwing the ball, running bases, etc. he said "I do not like that" LOL...he finished the clinic last night, had fun, but says he is NOT playing baseball.

springtime with wee ones is funtime
gosh, your babies are getting big. Liam is now 14 months. SO hard to believe.

Here are some of th recent pics of Liam. It's been such a nice spring, but today, the next several days, it's summer, with temps in the 90s. We may get out the baby pool.

One, I can't hardly believe he is that old. Gee, where did time fly?

Two. The more I think about it, it seems like only yesterday my oldest one (now 18) was that age.

We've taken Hayden camping for the last two weekends. Her first bagnight was sort of a long one - it got pretty cold and she wasn't completely sure of the whole tent thing. Plus, when mom & dad are sleeping in the same room as you...it's obviously PLAY TIME, right?

This past weekend we took her again and had no trouble whatsoever. She loves the outside - so much to look at!

On another note...I think she's going to skip crawling altogether. Lately she's been doing that thing where she is up on her feet and hands (like an upside-down "V"). I figure she'll achieve forward motion like that or one day will just say "screw it!" and start walking. :D We currently only have backward mobility. hahaha

We still have trouble keeping Laurel in a sleeping bag. She migrates all over the tent in her sleep.

I think that will be the case most of the time with her...she was busy, busy, busy until bedtime this past weekend and then ... out like a light.

Caught her just as she was about to stuff a fist full of rocks & dirt in her mouth. :D Stinker.

We have a tent trailer so her pack 'n play just gets set up in the middle. I just put her in fleece PJ's and she sleeps on top of a thick sheepskin & fleece blanket. I could never put her in a bag...she migrates like your little one!

you shouldn't have stopped her...they'll only do it once...our youngest just had her first mouthful of sand this weekend...didn't do it again

Heh Heh heh....reminds me of when Laurel was a baby still drinking form bottles. She hid one away so she could have something for later, I guess. It went sour, and she very quickly brought us the offending bottle with the funniest darned expression on her face. She also didn't do that again.

Great pic, LMG! Teach 'em lightweight early on! So you guys decided on a tent trailer?

That is a FUNNY story, treebait!

Man, my little girl likes to eat sand! I came over to pick her up after she did it recently and she accelerated shoving it into her mouth handful after handful, like they were closing up the buffet! LOL!

rosey - yea, we decided on the tent trailer. We're really happy with it - sets up fast and has lots of room inside. Here's a pic:

MarkO - yes, I have a redhead (who has the temper to match)! It's been a standing joke in my life that I collect them. The majority of my "best" friends from elementary school on up have been redheads. Then i married one...and now I have a little redheaded child. My collection is complete! :)
