Great that she found some joy and internal motivation in music. Hopefully that will keep on going.

From my daughter ...
... who finished her Master of Fine Arts at Ryerson (Toronto) in 2010. She put up with serious pain for several months, but wouldn't go to Emerg until her thesis (a doc. on the behaviour of a Canadian mining firm in Guatemala. Hint: not good) was done.

She went to Emerg. and discovered the pain was caused by a tumour in her femur that had grown enough to cause a frecture. That was 2010 for the family.

Here goes:

This is the trailer to the film I have production manager credit on:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3vAH_uTjI0&context=C3fff8a9ADOEgsToPDskI89--BKHeNvK6ZwWo80BwZ

It's an awesome flick. I'll let you all know when it's airing on TVO, TFO, and at which fests.

This is the trailer for our chocolate app that i recently recut (did not do the after effects titles though):

http://www.youtube.com/user/InSyncMediaTube

If you have an iphone download the app it is awesome (and is going to have montreal, calgary, chicago, new york, and more coverage soon!)
search: choco-locate in the app store
coming to Android soon.

This tread is more for the adults , but as parent we should strive to let our kids find thier strengths to gain confidence. I have 3 children who are all very different. my 12 year old daughter isnt very athletic but is a very good student and an exceptional english style horse rider. My middle child 9 year old son is the fisherman outdoors type that remembers every detail about animals and nature. He has to work very hard to excel in sports but he does. My youngest son 8 is very talented athletically he is the star on his 8u aau travel baseball team, hes a natural at basketball but cant bait a hook.

Between ages 14 and 21, my two just about flipped in their personalities.

My daughter went from being really insecure into someone who is ready to conquer the world. My son went from someone who wanted to explore the world to someone who wants to live in a small town and work in a job that will probably keep him there the rest of his life.

Nothing wrong with either one, but it is has been a real roller coaster watching them "change" their views over the years.

Laurel is now in a women's size 8 shoe. That's slightly big, so she has room for thick socks/ lasting more than 1 month. She's 9.5 years old. Yikes...We're doing a little hiking this weekend, too. In the mud. :)
