I Love Daylight Savings Time!

There are just so many hours of daylight and you can’t legislate more. Cutting the blanket off at one end and sewing it on the other end doesn’t make the blanket longer. If you need more day light, get out of bed earlier. Many farmers, ranchers, construction workers, loggers and others that work outside have been doing that for years. Just live according to the location of the sun instead of the location of the hands on the clock.”

Living only 50 miles or so west of the Eastern/Central timezone divide means that the friggin' sun is coming up at 5:30AM, and goes down at about 6:00PM or so. On Monday, magically the sun will rise at around 6:30AM and set around 7:00PM. I really enjoy having an extra hour of sun after I get home from work.”

I find that ridiculous, at least for my area. After daylight savings time started we got an extra month were we weren't waiting for the bus in the dark, but it ended up being dark when we got home as soon as it started.”

“The opposite. "Spring forward, fall back." So in the spring you loose an hour because the clock moves forward an hour.

From a legal/reality standpoint, the hour between 2 am and 3 am doesn't exist in the spring, and that same hour exist twice in the fall. A real b!tch for programmers and courts. Think about a point in time that should exist exactly once (2:15 am), but once a year it doesn't exist at all and once a year it exists twice. Yucky logic issues crop up.

I love DST! An hour of sleep lost on a Saturday night is well worth the price of an extra hour of evening daylight.

“holly scheisse...Day light saving time...is awesome... I love it. Takes me a couple days to get used to waking up early, but I have an hour longer at night. My park closes at 9PM (instead of 6PM) meaning I can run the park again and not the freaking neigborhood.”
