Anybody ever have a pair of Columbia boots? What did you think of them?

Not sure what you're asking. Or better which Columbia boots you're asking about.
I have a pair of Columbia "winter" boots. These are great for sloppy winter weather. They're insulated to keep my toesy warm, but I'd never wear them backpacking, not enough support.

When I think of Columbia Sportswear, I think of ski clothes. Maybe fleece.

Do you mean these, Biz?

i have a pair of low-top colubia hiking boots. i got em at dunhams sports on sale for $30. they're great. i once forgot my snow boots on a winter campout (in cabins at least) and had to wear those the entire trip. They stayed very dry with a pair of wools wigwam socks. Great boots.

Biz - I have two pairs - one mid height Omni-Tech (gore-tex)pair and one low cut pair. One of the pairs is called "Bolder Ridge or Copper Ridge" - I am at work and don't have them with me.
The Omni-tech does a pretty good job of keeping my feet dry and once I dunked my foot in a stream and soaked the sock and boot - it dried in a couple hours as I continued to walk.
I really like them - they fit my feet better than anything else I have ever tried and that is all that matters.
Are you thinking about buying a pair ?

Biz,
Last year I bought a pair of Columbia Copper Creek II's. I have a low volume foot, and these boots fit my feet great. After breaking them in on a few day treks,I wore them on the West Rim Trail near Wellsboro, PA. It rained the first 2 days off and on.The afternoon of the first day I noticed my left foot becoming soggy. The Omni-Tech membrane had stated to come loose inside neaar the toes.By the time the 30.5 mile hike was over, the rubber toe rands had started to seperate. Needless to say, i won't be buying Coumbia boots again anytime soon.

Columbia Boots
I have a pair of Columbia Triple Peak boots that I got from a friend who found them uncomfortable. They fit me well (low/mid volume foot) and have held up very well so far. I have put about 500 miles on them in the last 6-7 months. Cleats are rather shallow but provide acceptable traction for my mostly flat Fla. trails, but I am wondering how long they will last. The Omnitech stuff seems pretty good as a waterproof-breathable.

I had a pair of trail running shoes by them for a while. Never did any real hiking in 'em so I can't say. I'm one of those people who swear by the Asolo afx 520's

I took my nine year old boot shopping today, and the Columbia Rock Ridge II were the ones that she picked out. There wasn't much info on them in the box or on the box. They weren't expensive, but not cheap either. Does anyone know if these are okay or should I take them back and keep looking?

Wow, they aren't even listed on the Columbia Sportswear website. There are similar ones like Rock Ridge Mid at REI that look the same only the ankle is a little higher.
