Got any spare change?

“I went to Office Depot today, bought one of those change counters / organizers... you know the type... separates coins into various tubes which you can then easily roll them up into the appropriate roll... I started saving my change a few years ago, when I quit smoking, throwing it into a 5 gallon water jug on which I labeled - in big red letters - "Harley Jar". It was to be my "slush fund" for getting a new bike.

While it doesn't match what I would otherwise have spent in smokes, I rolled up over $700!!! That's gonna help out a lot when I go get my new motorcycle. After all, I got almost all the "new" backpacking gear I need, can do very nicely on what I have. Which, coincidentally, leads me to create another thread...

Before I go, however, let me ask you...

What do you do to save or hide money so you can go shop for new gear, withwout risking the wrath of your significant other, and the family budget?”

“You'll put your eye out with that thing.”

“Suffer the wrath? Sounds like a rare disease, Obi.”

“I just spend money freely without regard to my significant other. If they don't like it, they can leave!”
