It IS a good thing it didn't hit DEEP into the backcountry. Kinda makes one wonder - then again, experiences such as this can bring the "existentialist" out of a person.

I have an ulcer that flares up on occassion, which is what I thoight it was initially. It took me FOUR days to decide to go see my doc...

It's kinda ironic that, on the one hand, I've lost alot of weight (I haven't weighed myself yet - too skeert to weigh my awreddy narrow arse!), yet standing sideways, I look PREGNANT! LOL!

Get well soon, I know how you feel. This time excactly how you feel. They took out my appendix on the morning of 4/1. Got my staples out yesterday. I am already feeling pretty good. Just can not do anything heavy for 5 or 6 more weeks.”

the surgeon had to increase the size of the incision after he began in order to deal with some kinda unexpected foreign matter - or something like that. Therefore, it required a different closure - or something like that. I've only spoken to him once, but I was pretty doped-up.

I'm going to his office tomorrow to get'em removed.

Yep, might have been something in the water at hidden pond back on the Ocala ECT trip. All the other folks on that trip might start watching for symptoms.
Your parents emailed me a while back thanking me for the fresh corn I gave them last time they were here. Tell them to come on the weather has been nice. The lake level is back up and not too hot. Just a little wind, but fishing should be good. Tell them to holler at me when they get into town.”

How you doing? Thought we could compare notes. I am happy to report that after just 2 weeks I feel fine. Took me about a week to get my strength back up. Now I am going to have to hold myself back for 4 more weeks until I see the Dr. again. No heavy lifting or straining for 4 more weeks.
Backpacking would be impossible the cut would be under the hip belt. I know that would be uncomfortable, hurts when my shirt rubs on it.
Now when I lay on the couch and watch baseball all day, I just tell my wife, I am following Doctors orders. She loves it the most. Of course I went right back to work, which did not make her or the Dr. too happy.
